HP Oneview onboarding into SCOM
I am once again writing this blog out of my experience as a contribution towards SCOM Community. I have learnt a lot from the community, Its time give back to the community.
Instructive & Constructive Process of HP Oneview Appliances in SCOM.
*. Firewall Port should be opened between SCOM Management server & HP Oneview Appliances.
*. The user account we use on SCOM HP MP Dashboard Configuration, should have infrastructure role, and must have access to all the resources.
*.The user account should be part of the local domain not to be of any domain.
The Port depends on how the HP Appliances is configured to access behind the Firewall and the Port 80 or 443. There might me a firewall before the appliances. Port 443 is used to make the REST API calls from the SCOM Management server to HP Appliances.
The user account to access the HP Oneview Appliances should have Infra Admin role so that it can access all the resources on the appliances.
It should be used as below :
local@scom ( here Iam using scom as username created on the HP Appliances with infra Admin role)
Note: Kindly restart the HP Event Manager service once after the configuration is all done.
I hope this article would help others who are really looking to troubleshoot into this HP could be a help.
